Bon Jovi To Regroup For New Album

Bon Jovi will be coming back for the year 2000.

The New Jersey-based rockers haven't recorded an album together since the 1995 release "These Days," but all the members of the band -- including frontman Jon Bon Jovi and guitarist Richie Sambora -- plan to convene in a studio this summer to cut a new album that's tentatively due out early next year.

Bon Jovi has been on hiatus for nearly five years, during which Jon Bon Jovi has focused on developing his acting career. He drew respectable reviews for his turn opposite Demi Moore in the straight-to-video flick "Destination Anywhere," and he's also had roles in such films as "Moonlight and Valentino" and "Homegrown."

The singer-actor is currently on location in Malta, Italy, where he's filming the World War II submarine drama "U-571" with Matthew McConaughey, Bill Paxton, and Harvey Keitel.

Just last week, Jon Bon Jovi jumped onstage with a fellow New Jersey denizen, Bruce Springsteen, during the Boss' encore at a concert in Lyon, France, and sang backing vocals on Springsteen's 1980 hit, "Hungry Heart."
