Jersey rockers Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi are among the high-profile musicans on tap to contribute tracks to "Give Us Your Poor," a multi-artist benefit CD to help the homeless.
Due out Sept. 25, the CD will also feature new songs by American folk legend Pete Seeger, Madeleine Peyroux, Sonya Kitchell, Bonnie Raitt, Natalie Merchant, Michelle Shocked, Keb Mo and others, according to press materials from Appleseed Records.
The artists will collaborate with musicians who are now or have been homeless, the record company said.
The CD is part of Give Us Your Poor, a national project to fight homelessness.
