Richie Sambora has finally broken his silence about his departure from the current Bon Jovi tour — albeit not to disclose why he left. Instead, he tells the Daily Mail in Britain that Jon Bon Jovi is "making it very difficult for me to come back."
He tells the Daily Mail that he doesn't have "any major problems" in life right now, appearing to deny rumors that he checked back into rehab to address the same alcohol dependency that forced him to leave a Bon Jovi tour back in 2011.
But he does indicate that his relationship with lifelong bandmate Bon Jovi is strained. "My opinion is Jon wants to see if he can pull off stadiums by himself," he says. "He is making it very difficult for me to come back." He says that Bon Jovi fans catching the band currently on tour "are not getting the whole deal."
