JON & RICHIE Take Part in AMERICA: A TRIBUTE TO HEROES TELETHON

Continuing their support for the victims of the World Trade Center tragedy, their families and the brave efforts of those participating in the rescue and recovery efforts at Ground Zero, JON BON JOVI and RICHIE SAMBORA are participating in AMERICA: A TRIBUTE TO HEROES. The telethon will raise money for the September 11 Fund (overseen by the United Way.) We can't tell you what to expect from the boys but we can promise you this: you've never seen the guys do this before.

JON and RICHIE are not the only folks participating. As of this morning (and this could change so don't hold us to it) those participating and/or performing include: AMY BRENNENMAN, JIM CARREY, GEORGE CLOONEY, SHERYL CROW, TOM CRUISE, CAMERON DIAZ, ROBERT DE NIRO, CLINT EASTWOOD, CALISTA FLOCKHART, TOM HANKS, FAITH HILL, BILLY JOEL, TOM PETTY, RAY ROMANO, JULIA ROBERTS, PAUL SIMION, WILL SMITH, CONAN O'BRIEN, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, ROBIN WILLIAMS, STEVIE WONDER, JIMMY SMITS, JANE KACZMAREK, MARIAH CAREY, WYCLEF JEAN, WILLIE NELSON and no doubt others to be announced.

The show will be broadcast LIVE from the East Coast from stages in NEW YORK and L.A. There will be NO AUDIENCE (no tickets available.) The show will be LIVE at 9:00PM Eastern and 8:PM Central; it will be on tape delay for Mountain and Pacific TimeZones. The following television networks will be airing the telethon: ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS, UPN, WB, PAX-TV, UNIVISION, TELEMUNDO, HBO, TNT, E!, LIFETIME, COMEDY CENTRAL, MTV, VH-1, TNN, BET, BET JAZZ, FOX FAMILY, FX, COURT-TV, DISCOVERY, TLC, SHOWTIME and SUNDANCE CHANNEL. Online you can watch the show as it is streamed on YAHOO! On the radio, you can tune in to affiliates of the West Wood One and ClearChannel radio networks for a simulcast. Make sure you tune in (it's almost impossible NOT to!) and make sure you pledge.
