All last week, BON JOVI were based in NYC for rehearsal and warm-ups for an international TV taping that was done on Friday. Wednesday night, August 21st, BON JOVI invited friends, family and the entire staff of their record label to a private mini-concert at New York City's Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom. Following is the set list from the show that night: YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME, IT'S MY LIFE, UNDIVIDED, THE DISTANCE, EVERYDAY, BORN TO BE MY BABY (Jon didn't sing that song - he left the stage for a while and a fan in the front row took over lead vocals!,) JUST OLDER, LIVIN' ON A PRAYER (acoustic,) WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE, MISUNDERSTOOD, BOUNCE and HOOK ME UP. The rest of the night was a casual hang with the band at the bar. On FRIDAY afternoon, AUGUST 23, BON JOVI taped an international TV station. Fans waited quite a while before they were finally ready for the audience to enter. The band was running late - so late that they hadn't soundchecked yet when the crowd came in... so those in attendance got to watch the band soundcheck. It was an intimate show - just under 500 people were in the building (other than working personnel) and everyone had a pretty cool view. VJs from all over the world came in to "host" the show and once all their intros were filmed, BON JOVI took the stage for a non-stop performance. Following is the set list from Friday's TV taping: YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME, IT'S MY LIFE, UNDIVIDED, THE DISTANCE, EVERYDAY, BORN TO BE MY BABY, JUST OLDER, LIVIN' ON A PRAYER (acoustic,) WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE, MISUNDERSTOOD, JOEY, RUNAWAY (electric,) BOUNCE, HOOK ME UP, I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD, SOMEDAY I'LL BE SATURDAY NIGHT, KEEP THE FAITH, IT'S MY LIFE (they had to do a 2nd take for the TV taping) and BAD MEDICINE.
