I am reviewing the Bon Jovi concert at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on May 26th, 2007 for Tiger Jam 10. This was their second time playing Tiger Jam. The previous was during the "Bounce" tour in 2003. Chris Daughtry (of American Idol fame) opened and played about 30 minutes. Will Ferrall came out next and introduced Tiger Woods after a few lame jokes. He looked like he had just finished filming Survivor. He had a thick beard and his hair was long and messed up. Tiger Woods thanked the crowd for their support over the years and introduced Bon Jovi. They opened the show with Prayer followed by Bad Name. Jon announced that he had been wanting to get back out on the road after being "cooped up for ten months with a wife and 4 kids". They did show a little rust and were not as tight as I remember them being. Nonetheless, they did a terrific job and worked the crowd into a frenzy with favorites like It's My Life, Bad Medicine, Shout, and Who Says You Can't Go Home. Bon Jovi also played quite a few songs from the new album, Lost Highway. In addition to the title track, they played the current single You Want To Make A Memory, We Got It Going On, and I Love This Town. The show was about 2 hrs long (because of a Mandalay Bay curfew) and the encore was Someday I'll Be Saturday Night and Wanted Dead or Alive. Very enjoyable show overall and I would highly recommend seeing them. Although they aren't officially "on tour" for this album, don't miss seeing one of the select dates they are playing thoughout the summer and fall.
