The Innsbruck gig was the 3rd time time i saw the band. Well, it was the colder gig i've ever seen, and maybe the colder concert the band ever played. But this was only a weather problem. I arrved in Innsbruck at 6.30 in the morning after a 6 hours long journey from Florence. I was expecting the band to make a great show and they really did. Jon, Richie, David, Tico, Hugh, and the other 2 musicians (Wasn't it better if they stood playing in backstage? However...) gave us great emotions.
Despite the cold weather, when the concert started everyone was HOT, and the band dorve everyone of us wild.
Last man standing featured Jon at the centre of the catwalk, and I saw him really next to me...It was exciting...he seemed to be really happy, he smiled to the crowd and was powerfull. They went into Bad Name and Wild in the Streets, a perfect intro. I also heard I'd die for you for the first time. Jon played the guitar solo...strange but funny!
The new album songs were very pumped up with a really powerfull and straight sound.
During the show, after about one hour from the beginning, it started to rain, the weather went colder, and the band hotter...Jon wearded a pile hat.
I've listened to the best version of Bad medicine and Shout i've ever heard...and Richie also played some really good solos in Wanted dead or alive and Keep the faith...obviously, the others songs solo were great too.
It was a cold night, and the show went on for about 2 hours and 15 minutes, a bit less than the classical Bon Jovi standard gig time, but everyone ion the crowd didn't seem to care about it, 'cause they gave us a very very great show.
I hope to see the band in Italy next time!
