30 June 2001 - München (Munich), Germany Concert Review 3 July 2001
OMG

A review by Johanna

omg omg omg i don't know where to start.it was my first BJ concert and i was so looking forward to it and now it's all over.but what a night.after reading through the reviews i don't know what to add.i'm kinda happy that so many experienced people call this show the best they've seen but at the same time it makes me fear my next (i will see as many as possible, that's for sure) will be disappointing.what am i saying i'm still kinda confused :-) these guys just can't disappoint anybody i guess. it pissed me off that i couldn't understand what jon was improvising during "someday i'll be saturday night" though i stand directly behind the fanclub 'cause people next to me were screaming just too loud.i told them to be quit but well... it didn't really work out.it couldn't make this night less fun though.

the rain made the crowd even more go crazy and made the band and all of us believe. during "i'll be there for you" i started crying because we knew it was the end and because of the song anyway.it was just so overwhelming.i understand the text on the live album now.the author is just right! it is such an incredibly good feeling, i could not describe better how i felt than he did. and jon's "supernova smile"... and his dance while "twist and shout"... he seemed to have so much fun seeing us "having as much fun as you can in your clothes" (ok some people took their clothes off in the rain) but the best thing ever was the beginning. when the band stood there quietly just looking at the crowd.they really seem still to enjoy their shows.they really seem to be impressed by their success every night again.

the songs were well chosen but i missed "these days".i had loved to hear "wild is the wind", "dry county", "(it's hard) letting you go" or "this ain't a love song".or "blood on blood".but i know that was nothing to count on so it was a perfect show anyway.i don't think it's that bad they played neither "runaway" nor "bed of roses" (though i would have liked to hear it of course).just great.thanks to BJ.i will never forget this "wild night".we were HOPING IT WOULD NEVER END.
KTF!
