13 July 2001 - Chicago, IL, USA Concert Review 14 July 2001
Chicago ROCKED

A review by Runaway

Excellent Show ! The boys were ELECTRIC! Even with the bad acustics of the Tweeter Center they sounded AWESOME. I thought they rocked the Alstate Areana last November but they definately outdid themselves last night!

Jon had sooooo much energy and was so in tune with the croud from the get-go. He is such a showman and really played to (and with !) the croud last night. His voice was in top form (which is more than I can say for mine at the moment ...I sound like a gruff old man!)

Jon sure kept Security hopping too...he was here and there with her, her and them ...at times lots of them. I've never seen so many people on stage with them in all the years as there were during/after the conga line that he instigated ! Jon was really lost in the middle for a while. You can see that Jon really loves his fans....even when the girl who ran on stage was being hauled off by Security he when over to her, pick up a rose someone threw and gave it to her with a kiss ! What a guy !

Richie played Stranger in this Town ...this was a real treat too. Jon said it was in celebration of his birthday.

As a long time fan (from Runaway) their concerts just kept getting better. Bon Jovi is like a fine wine - the older the better ! Anyway, Chicago ROCKED and who said Friday, the 13th is unlucky?
