BON JOVI Disappoints AGAIN

A review by Greenpaw / greenpaw5150@yahoo.com

Well, the second of 2 bad shows for Chicago from Bon Jovi on the Crush tour. I've seen them six times now and this was the absolute WORST time. Where do I start?
The WORST part was the setlist. Besides the MUST PLAYS, there were so many classics missing from the set, AND WHO THE HELL wanted to hear STRANGER IN THIS TOWN?????? Not to mention the complete absence of ANY songs from These Days!
PLEASE no more cover songs, I came to see Bon Jovi, not karaoke night at the local white trash bar!

The stage.
Horrible. Hardly any lights, it looked like Bon Jovi was the opening act, he had no room to run around.NO PYRO???? What's the deal, are they not making enough money off of us to use smoke, pyro and lights? I guess $85 a ticket gets us only a postage stamp-sized stage with a couple lights and tv screens? Funny, for $85 at a KISS show, I got my money’s worth and then some!

Some problems with Jon:
First and foremost, Jon needs to see a shrink and realize that he, in fact, is NOT Bruce Springsteen. I know he's from Jersey and all, but GET OVER IT.
Second, Jon needs to get his mind OFF of the Hollywood movie stage and BACK on to the ROCK AND ROLL stage! I've NEVER seen so much POSING and playing to the cameras as I saw last night. Stop shakin your ass and dressing like Ricky Martin and start jamming like Robert Plant or Steven Tyler!
Jon, don’t ACT like a rock star, BE a rock star!

I am still a Bon Jovi fan, but I doubt I’ll see them live again until they get their act together and play some better songs and put on a real show like they used to back in the day.

I saw Aerosmith a week ago and compared to the half assed crap I saw last night…..all I can say is:
THANK GOD FOR AEROSMITH!
