17 July 2001 - Toronto, ON, Canada Concert Review 18 July 2001
Bon Jovi Rocked Toronto!

A review by Lauri Richards / laurir2001@yahoo.ca

What can I say - the boys were in true form - Jon looked pretty tired towards the end (after doing 3 back-to-back shows) but he pulled out all the stops for us.

First announcement was "In 1995 we broke the Amphitheatre record for attendance...then a couple of years ago some little boy band called the backstreet boys broke our record. Now hang on (he says to us) don't you worry...tonight you all blew the backstreet boys attendance away!" Bon Jovi were once again the champions in attendance for the show! Way to go Toronto!

They rocked as usual - One Wild Night, Bed of Roses, Wild in the streets, Stranger in this town (Richie solo), Lay your hands on me, Wanted, Tequila, I'll Sleep when I'm Dead, Raise your hands, Bad Medicine, I’ve Got the Girl, Keep the Faith, It’s My Life, Saturday Night, Prayer,....I can't remember them all.

For me personally, Jon shadow danced with me! Whoo-hoo!!!!! I was doing this little dance in the audience (can't explain in words), Jon looked at me and started mimicking my dancing - it was so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was on Dave's side and Dave and I had a facial expressions conversation going - it was awesome! He made faces for some of my pics - he was so great! At one point, I was so tired from singing & dancing and I looked at him raised my eyebrows & stuck my tongue out like "Man I'm tired" - he started laughing at me! Gotta love it!

Jon did the Conga line in TO as well - very cool. People gave him kisses & hugs. Someone tried to throw her bra on stage - he just threw it back. Guess he's tired of that one.

Jon let the audience sing the entire beginning portion right through the first chorus of Wanted – it was so cool! I can’t imagine how that sounds up on stage but it sounded awesome from second row!

It was bar-none the BEST Rock n' Roll show I have ever seen! It was rockin', boppin', screaming, singing, dancin', good time rock n' roll!

I'm going to be aching tomorrow! I screamed and danced my a** off!

I can't remember it all now...it hasn't sunk in...I can't believe it's over ...Boston here I come and then.....NEW JERSEY!!!!!!

Man, that is going to be one hell of a couple of shows!

Jon, Dave, Tico, Hugh & Richie - Thank you for one of the best nights of my life!
