UNFORGETTABLE
I am 24 years, my older sister and I attended the concert on saturday night. She managed to go to one of the shows way back in like "89" but I was too young to go (and very BITTER about it.) So THIS was my FIRST (of many more to come.) That one hot,wild night, I was the driver and my sister was the dj for the(what seemed to take FOREVER)of a ride. We were listening to all the songs we'd HOPE for them to play. I ABSOLUTLY LOVED THE SHOW!!! The ONLY, ONLY thing I missed was not hearing "THANK YOU FOR LOVING ME" I think THAT would have been a PERFECT encore. Hearing "JUST OLDER" almost brought tears to my eyes, cause for us (back in the day fans),it rang so true. Everyones reviews seem to mention how JON SWITCHED with DAVID on keyboards...but what ACTUALLY happened was Jon FORGOT the words, he even SAID "what am I singing" and he had dave take over for him. I didn't see it as a SCREW UP though, I thought it was adorable that he made a mistake & made some fun come from it. Also, I think it was incredible how us pittsburgh fans managed to BEG them to come back & do JUST ONE MORE, which turned into ONE MORE & ONE MORE...we refused to let them leave us!!! I hope they felt the love:) Bottom line is, I wish I had enough money & time on my hands to follow them wherever they go. I Also wanted to say that I had ONE regret of the night..After the show me & my sister stood for over an hour by the lower stage (while traffic cleared out)we figured what the heck, we can't get out now anyway, we might as well see if JUST MAYBE we can catch the band leaving...and well...we did, 2 white vans with tinted windows escorted by security drove slowly past us, and ALL WE DID was stared...BLANK STARES, needless to say we kicked ourselves in the A**s for not trying SOMETHING. I found it a little odd that nobody else was waiting for them...Are we STUCK in the 80's, do fans NOT do THIS anymore? Or did we miss something bigger & better elsewhere? I can't wait for them to come back to pittsburgh, I will be waiting in line for those front row tickets (aaaaggghh to dance across the stage with jon) yes it will be ME next time, watch for me:)
