Now THAT'S what I call a SHOW!
Oh. My. God. After having seen the show the night before and being sadly disappointed...how on EARTH did they come back with a vengeance??! It was unreal!!!
It was virtually the exact same setlist for the first section of the show- but you know what? It did not matter! This time I had better seats, the sound was vastly improved...I had the freaking time of my life! I could actually hear Jon sing and Richie's guitar! It was like a miracle after the night before!
The best moments of the show for me were in the encores. One beautiful surprise after another! "Say It Isn't So" (my fave off of Crush), "Blood on Blood"- oh nothing gets me going more than the classics! And then, the appearance of the one and only Alec John Such. The most beautiful, emotional moment I have ever witnessed. To see the old formation back again right there on that huge screen- Jon, Richie and Alec side by side...UNREAL! It was magic!
And they made me the happiest camper alive by playing my favorite song of all time- "I'll Be There for You". Apparently I'm not the only one who adores this song! I think of all their ballads, this is the best one for a live show, since the audience clearly and easily participates. It's phenomenal!
They of course returned to have us shake our thangs with "Tequila" and "Twist and Shout", but you just knew there was no way they could leave it there. NO WAY! It would have been a CRIME! They returned with the most phenomenal, heartwrenching surprise of all- NEVER SAY GOODBYE! This song means more to me than any other! It brings back so many memories for so many people. And to close the show with that, they just couldn't have picked a better song. Nothing more beautiful or emotional.
As for those who sat in my section- WHAT ARE YOU DOING AT A SHOW and SITTING ON YOUR ASSES???!!! Stay at home and listen to your cds, watch your videos!!! That's not what a Bon Jovi show is for!!!
I can't wait for the boys to return. It couldn't be any sooner. There isn't a show out there that can compare to this party!!! It truly is a celebration. A celebration of memories, the times of our lives that were accompanied by an amazing soundtrack.
