AMAZING...AS EXPECTED!
I also went to both nights at Giants Stadium and I must admit I was completely blown away. This was my 6th time seeing Bon Jovi and the boys have outdone themselves each time and this was no exception. I do agree with Kevin and "Bon Jovi fan For Life", but only to a small degree, regarding the fact that the set lists were almost identical. I would have loved to have heard "In These Arms", "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night" among all of the other Bon Jovi songs also. But don't you guys think that maybe you are being a little hard on them? Don't forget that the second night was only added because the first sold out so fast and there was such a demand that they had to add another night. That means the vast majority of the people at the second show were not at the first. Is it fair for them to miss out on certain songs just so the band can cater to the few of us who went both nights? Call me quirky, but, I don't think so.
And as for the band looking rehearsed, maybe a little. But did you see the size of the stage? It was so small! It would have been very difficult for them to be as spontaneous and be all over the place, as I have seen them do on larger stages, without risking hurting themselves.
I don't think they should retire any of the hits until they stop getting a reaction from the crowd. As long as they do, it is obvious the crowd wants to hear them. I thought it was fantastic that they played "Raise Your Hands" and "Wild In The Streets". I haven't heard those live since my first concert.
As I said the boys have outdone themselves, I have NEVER seen such a fantastic performance, Bon Jovi or otherwise, and I have seen plenty. I thought it was a perfect end to a long tour and a perfect homecoming for them. Till the next tour...
