8 December 2002 - Melbourne, Australia Concert Review 9 December 2002
Oh what a day

A review by Georgia

We waited 8 hours to see them and they did't let us down.
There were some good acts shaggy was good, Pink was great. But were we were sitting no one even got up and danced to them, all I could think was I've waited this long and Im going to have to sit hear and contain my excitment. Because the concert was aimed at young people I didnt think there would be many Bon Jovi fans there. I had waited so many years to see them I had missed them everytime they had come to Australia and not sure if they were comming back I was happy to pay $100 to see them for 45min. But as soon as Pink had finished the crowed just started clapping and yelling and stamping there feet. I then realised the majority of the 30,000 people were there to see the same thing I was. The crowed had been so quite all day and everyone came alive as soon as they heard them. Everyone was up singing You give love a Bad name at the top of there voices. You could'nt hear the Band at some stages. I think everyone knew they would'nt be on for long so they would make the most of it. Even there new songs eveyone loved and sang along, the crowed really loved Bounce. I was 14 when Living on a Prayer came out and Ive watched concerts of there's and last night I got to sing along with it. So all I can say is it was so worth the wait it's the next day and Im still on a high. So if you've only thought about going to one of there concerts dont hesitate like me for so many years just go.
