10 February 2003 - East Rutherford, NJ, USA Concert Review 13 February 2003
SORRY KELLY, I DISAGREE

A review by PONGEE / captalncrash@aol.com

I just read Kelly's review where she said she was dissappointed in Monday's CAA show, so I had to post. Kelly, I couldn't disagree with you more. There is nothing special about BLAZE OF GLORY, LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME, KEEP THE FAITH, or I'LL SLEEP WHEN I'M DEAD in concert, the reason being is that they always play those songs in concert. It was a breath of fresh air to not have to sit through these songs again. WILD IN THE STREET is a great live song, and they DID play that the 2nd night at CAA. Also, BORN TO BE MY BABY wasn't the last song...they came back out and played IN THESE ARMS, BAD MEDICINE, and WANTED. I hope you stayed for IN THESE ARMS, because that made the show for me, having never heard that one in concert before.

My only gripe about the show was the HORRIBLE Pre-Taped Videos that they played durning JOEY and HOOK ME UP. (The video for RIGHT SIDE OF WRONG was just as bad, if not worse, at Tuesday's show.) Please don't tell me you liked those videos, Kelly. They were embarrassing to watch. I was hoping the live versions would redeem JOEY and RIGHT SIDE OF WRONG for me, but they didn't. Only made things worse.

So if they stick to great songs like RAISE YOUR HANDS, BORN TO BE MY BABY, IT'S MY LIFE, MISUNDERSTOOD, THE DISTANCE, EVERYDAY, I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU and the glorious IN THESE ARMS, they'll be doing something special, giving the fans something we haven't seen a hundred times before. (You really wanna make it special give us HOMEBOUND TRAIN, 99 IN THE SHADE, WILD IS THE WIND, I'D DIE FOR YOU, WITHOUT LOVE...)

Monday's show was great, leaps and bounds better than Tuesday's Show, IN THESE ARMS was the clincher.

Thanks,
PONGEE
