20 February 2003 - Toronto, Ontario, Canada Concert Review 22 February 2003
LOVED IT... BUT

A review by The Heartbreak Kid

last night's show was dedicated to the true fans. the set list went back to capture the classics like runaway and damned, which the "just older" fans can always appreciate. there was excellenet representation of material from the bounce album - again, something the true fans would all appreciate hearing live.

JBJ is still the best on stage perfromer in the industry. he knows how to rock. i could not keep up with just the signing bec those songs are hard to sing, let alone the aerobic exercise he puts out night in and night out. My hats off to Tico as well, for all the hard work at the back end of the stage. it is not unnoticed.

i do have 1 "not so great moment" though - i do not support Richie singing I'll be there for you. this is the most sacred of songs, and in my mind, can only be sung by JBJ. this is like going to a U2 concert and hearing the Edge sing "with or without you". (i'll keep the faith that JBJ will reclaim the lead on this song, and i'll do my best to try to get over my dissapointment this time around) i'll definately continue to go to their shows in T.O. and other cities i can easily get to. best seats i've ever had for the many BJ concerts i've been fortunate to take in - 6th row centre for this one was sweet.

hope to see them again at the amphitheatre in the summer, and in buffalo in march
