25 February 2003 - Minneapolis, MN, USA Concert Review 27 February 2003
Good (but where are the ballads?)

A review by Jason D

This was the third Bon Jovi show for my wife and I. We really enjoyed ourselves. Overall, I thought the set list was great but missed the slow ballads. We were hoping to at least hear Bed of Roses, Always, or Never Say Good Bye. Although I'll be There for You with Richie on lead was nice, I'll have to say we're partial to the band as a whole. They certainly showed they can still rock and roll. My ears are still ringing. The third encore was great. Bad Medicine is a SWEET song! Loved Runaway. Raise Your Hands. All great rock tunes. Would have been perfect with at least one slow ballad. The satellite dishes were great, as were the lasers and optic lighting on the backdrop. This is what true arena rock is all about. One observation about the guitar techs. What's with the full head to toe hooded black robes with head flashlights? Do the boys have ego issues sharing the stage and feel the need to hide the identities of the guitar techs? I thought it was funny - high-tech monk-like grim reapers handing sneaking out under the darkness to hand off the guitars!
