7 March 2003 - Philadelphia, PA, USA Concert Review 9 March 2003
3rd show this tour...

A review by BonJovi4ever / jaxinnj@yahoo.com

Out of the 3 shows that I have been to this tour, I might have to call this one my favorite. They played a bit longer the Feb. 11th show but this one was more personal. Personal like we have heard them when they do a Christmas show or small benefit show. The show was quite electrifying. Philly really wanted to see this show and everytime the lights seemed to of dimmed, the crowd went nuts. The show almost the same as it was before but tons of surprises. I was pretty damn shocked when they did Diamond Ring. With These Days being my favorite album, it was a great treat. As everyone else has said, he did forget the 3rd verse in Bed of Rose. He got out "Now as you close your eyes...." and then he started to laugh as he went back to his mic stand. He kept laughing and was like I forgot the line. "I wrote the song and I can't remember the lyrics, shit". Then after the song he went on to say that at least you knew that he was really singing and that if you seen their other shows then you'd know that they don't make many mistakes. Then later, I think it was during Born To Be My Baby when he went over the catwalk to the crowd on the left of the stage. He came back laughing really hard while he was singing. He looked like he was blusng. He then said something in Hugh's ear and he was laughing. You can actually hear him laughing as he's singing. My friend sat in that section later so I asked him what happened and he said that some chick grabbed his balls. He didn't pull one on stage during Bed of Roses for some reason. He looks like he tried to but she didn't come up. But he did bring someone up during Born To Be My Baby.

Some of my highlights, that I haven't mentioned yet, are How great they did Someday I'll Be Saturday Night. It was my favorite version of the song yet. I always look forward to Dave's solo is something to look forward to. I can't wait til tickets for The Vet go on sale. Man did I almost die when I heard him announce they were coming back July 24th. If you missed this show, you need to make the next one!
