29 March 2003 - Madison, WI, USA Concert Review 30 March 2003
INTENSE!!!

A review by Brett

This was my second time seeing the guys play and this show was hands down the better of the two(the first being at Summerfest 2001 in Milwaukee). The setlist was solid from start to finish(they actually played Living on a Prayer this time!). Raise Your Hands had the place going absolutely crazy at one point. Ballads appeared to be crossed off for the night and no one seemed to care as the band played with a shear intensity throughout the over 2 1/2 hour show.

The only downfall was the encore. To have the first two songs in the encore be "I got the Girl" and "Captain Crash" was weak. People weren't into it at all and it wasnt til Bad Medicine that people started moving and singing along again. "In These Arms" or "Blood on Blood" would have been much better choices in my opinion. I was also wondering why neither "Joey" or "Right Side of Wrong" made it into the setlist.

Highlight of the night though was Richie on "I'll Be There For You". Amazing is the only word I can think of.

A great show and well worth the money for 10th row seats!
