7 April 2003 - Phoenix, AZ, USA Concert Review 11 April 2003

A review by yankee17 / yankee17@ucd.net

After watching the One Wild Night Tour in 2001 I was really pumped up. I prepared myself for the possibility of losing my voice because I knew I would be singing along with all the songs. Not only that I was pleasantly surprised by the stage setup (kudos to whomever plans and prepares the stage setup. The satellites were a great idea!). After reading several of the set lists I pretty much knew what to expect but there were a couple of things that I didn't know about that really surprised me:
1) Was that really Richie Sambora singing I'll Be There for You?
2) Why wasn't One Wild Night sung?
3) How come this concert didn't last three hours?

Maybe I got a little bit spoiled by the One Wild Night tour but I was preparing myself for three solid hours of great stuff. But since it was only two hours, with great special effects, a loud crowd and great arena I cannot complain. I can't wait until I see them again!
