19 March 2003 - Dallas, TX, USA Concert Review 8 June 2003
Bon Jovi "Bounces" into Dallas!

A review by Matt DeLuca / QMD333@aol.com

On March 19th, 2003, when Bon Jovi arrived in Dallas, Texas for their show at the American Airlines Center, they came with a purpose.
That purpose? To see 20,000 faces and to rock them all!
Mission Accomplished!
The Dallas Crowd was loud, energetic and ready for some fun, and Bon Jovi gave them exactly what they wanted and needed.
From the moment Bon Jovi hit the stage to open up their setlist with "Bounce", Jon was full of energy as he "Bounced" around the stage, delighting the fans with his charismatic stage presence, and his great voice as he "Quarterbacked" the night of fun.
Richie Sambora was, as usual, awesome on guitars and backing vocals, and even thrilled the crowd by singing lead vocals on "I'll be there for you".
David Bryan showcased his talent on the Keyboard and his performances on "Undivided" and "Right Side Of Wrong" were especially beautiful.
Tico Torres as always, supplied the backbone to the whole Bon Jovi sound as he played a mean set of drums.
Hugh "Huge" McDonald played the bass like only he can and flashed multiple smiles to the crowd the entire night.
To make the awesome performance by Bon Jovi (They never sounded better!) even more memorable, were the awesome effects that accompany the Bounce Tour.
The laser show was breathtaking, and the lasers have a 3D effect, so they feel like they are coming right at you.
The lighting set the mood perfectly.
And The 3 Satellite "Dishes" on the stage, no doubt inspired by the "Bounce" album cover art, acted as big screens, so that the fans could get close up looks at their Rock-N-Roll Heroes.
It was a magical night and it was a celebration.
Of Rock-N-Roll. Of Bon Jovi. Of Dallas. Of life itself.
Nobody throws a Rock-N-Roll party like Bon Jovi!
I and the 20,000 other satisfied fans who enjoyed the show, can attest to that.
Thank you Bon Jovi, for the fun, the memories, and the inspiration. After seeing you perform live, I felt like I was able to "Touch the sky", and "Spread these wings and fly". And I havent come back down to Earth ever since.
