14 June 2003 - Imola (Heineken Jammin’ Festival 2003), Italy Concert Review 16 June 2003
Short but Great!!

A review by ippiade / ippiade@hotmail.com

It's hard to include twenty years of rock and roll legend in only 90 minutes. Bon Jovi tried to do this last Saturday night but it hasn't been possible. The show had to end at 11.00 p.m. because Tricky's show started at 11.30 p.m.(does anyone know him?). The result was that 80.000 angry people (!!!) went away and only a few people remained to listen the following artist. Maybe, the Festival Management could be cleverer and make Tricky start later (or, even better, make him not start), because most of people who came to Imola from every part of Italy was there to listen BJ and not Tricky. However, the show has been great!! Jon singed, jumped and dragged the crow like never before, Richie and the rest of the band was perfect (as always). A great performance, an almost perfect sound and an heart-attack setlist. All the hits played breathless, and a great version of Born To Be My Baby (after the end of the song, the crowd kept on singing "Na Na Na Na" and then the band played again the chorus). what more can I say... It's hard to find the words to describe it.
Let's hope we have not to wait too long to see them again.
