1 June 2003 - Mannheim, Germany Concert Review 25 June 2003
Oh what a night!

A review by Vero / FlowerFFM@aol.com

Hi

I was in Mannheim on June 1st with my husband. It was our first Bon Jovi concert but not the last one. I asked myself now Why did i wait so long to go to one of their shows! I bought our tickets in January but it was worth the long wait and every cent spent. If I had known what it was to be at a Bon Jovi concert I would have bought tickets to other shows in Germany.

The only problem that day was that it was very very hot. We were asked to leave our big bottles of water at the entrance. Noone came to sell sodas or water the entire afternoon and evening. Only those lucky enough to be on the first row could get beers. We got ice creams.
We arrived in Mannheim at 2h30 PM and waited till they opened the gate at 3h45 and then had to wait in the hot sun till Live came. LIVE had pretty good songs but none cared for them. Every one wanted Bon Jovi. Plus one of the right speakers had a problem. It was later fixed. The concert started at 8h35 PM and ended at 11h20 PM.

I am only realizing now that I was at a Bon Jovi Concert.
Everything was perfect. It was a fantastic and unforgetable night of Rock and Roll. A long night of jumping, dancing and singing. I was so happy to hear BED OF ROSES, my favorite of all. I was not expecting it. Thank you Jon for such a love song. When I first got the new Album Bounce I mainly cared for Misunderstood and Bounce but after having been at the concert I can say that I love them all. Undivided was great live and The Distance what a song! Thanks for playing Joe. From the old songs, i enjoyed Wanted Dead or Alive and Someday I will be Saturday night.
The light effects were great especially during I will be there for you. I loved the moon in the background.

It was such an incredible evening with nice people around us. A man next to me with his girl friend drove from Valencia, Spain to be here. He knew all the songs by heart and was the one with the flag. Hope he will make it to Hyde Park. I want to thank the girl who nicely took pictures for us from our boyfriend shoulders. They are great. If anyone took good pictures that night please let me know. It was interesting to see all the Bon Jovi fans. They are from different ages, sexes and nationalities.

Jon looked great that night, talked to us a couple times and had a lot of energy. Wished I knew where to find articles on that night and how many people were there.

Anyway I just want to say to my husband Thank you for coming with me.

Thank you Bon Jovi for a night that I will not forget
I love you guys
See you next time
