24 June 2003 - Wolverhampton, UK Concert Review 25 June 2003
Nice one boys!

A review by Clare / clare.martin1@ntlworld.com

This was my 6th concert first time in 1993 so after 10 years from first seeing them i thought i may have seen it all...i was wrong. How they do it i do not know there was a granny infront of me and kids on their dads shoulders a complete mix of crowd which i thought was great, and jon got the message across by saying it doesnt matter if things are not fashionable its if you like it that matters.A fitting speach to the many generations of bon jovi fans.
We arrrived at the stadium with plenty of time to spare most of which was spent finding a parking space and waiting in adsa for the loo! but it wasnt long before we were the stadium. "live" were not bad as a support band (i dont mean to sound old)but it was a bit to loud!
about 8.05pm bon jovi took to the stage, i had the sun in my face for the first 3 songs so i had to squint but as the sun went down the stadium came alive.I was a bit disapointed that "wanted" was played when it was still light as i loved the previous tours when the lights changed to blue/green and the single opening strum of richies guitar signaled the start of the epic song with jon saying "this is our anthum" or "for the cowboys out there" it seemed to start with no introduction.
A nice few words from jon about how he thought they had played everywhere but now finds himself in yet another new place, he seemed to like it that it was somewhere new .He spoke about all the faces he had seen over the years and spoke about the young boy in the crowd with a "its my 7th birthday today" banner, to which the little boys face was shown on the big screen , something to remember for him i'm sure!
Even though they played a mixture of songs there were obveous ones missing, but if i had my way i would have em playing every song theyed ever written but somehow a show that long wouldnt happen!(although i wish!)
would have liked to have heard "always" and some more "theese days " but with all the great songs to choose from some had to be dropped from the setlist.
All in all a great stadium, great crowd (although the mexican wave took far to long to get going) great music from all of them (but would have liked to have seen more of tico and dave who always hide under the bus shelter! wish it could have gone on for longer.
Well done and thankyou bon jovi for yet another wild night!
