24 June 2003 - Wolverhampton, UK Concert Review 26 June 2003
Rock On Bon Jovi!!!!!!!

A review by Laura Smith / laura_smith858@hotmail.com

Oh My God!! Simply fantastic! Top of all Rock bands!I couldnt believe I was there! My first Bon Jovi concert! We tried to set out early and ended up getting there at about 1:30-1:45. There was already quite large queues. At about 5:30 the doors opened and we were suprised at how close we were to the stage considering most of the people in front of us in the queue were Gold Standing too!

The supporting act - Live, were very disappointing in my opinion. Both my boyfriend Alex and his best mate Jake agree too! If your going to Manchester or Hyde Park, watch out for the Bass guitarist...U'll see what we mean :s

Anyway...onto the good stuff...At just past 8:00 Bon Jovi arrived!!! For me to see one of my idols was amazing! They opened with "Bounce" which was an amazing start to what was the best concert I have EVER seen!

The one thing I was disappointed at, other than the support act was the fact that there was a lack of slow songs. I, presonally was really hoping that they would play "Always" , my favourite song but they didnt, nor "Bed Of Roses"!

I think that my highlights of the evening would have to be Richie singing "I'll Be There For You" and the elongated version of "Born To Be My Baby" Im still singin "Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah" a day on!!!

Jon was on top form and I thought it was really sweet how he mentioned the little boy's banner saying "Its my 7th birthday Bon Jovi". Jon also made me laugh when he bent over to the level of Richies guitar and just stared at it on one of Richie's guitar solos. Hes crazy! David also made Alex and Jakes night by giving them the thumbs up when they gave him the thumbs up whilst playing the keyboard lol!

Overall, it was an electrix night....a huge warming atmospher...no grudges held with anyone. It comes close to one of the best nights of my life.

Some people have mentioned that they looked a little tired last night. I wouldnt know, this was my first concert but I know that they tried to put 100% into everythin, I could tell.... so what if they are tired...who would blame them...they are 40-50 yrs old and they are still Rockin the world!!!

Roll on Manchester- Old Trafford and see ya there if your going!!!!!!
