26 June 2003 - Manchester, UK Concert Review 27 June 2003
OLD TRAFFORD - 26/06/03

A review by Tawny

WOW, what can I say, I can't tell you how many times I've seen Bon Jovi and in my review of the Wolverhampton gig I said I'd seen them play better well I'd never seen them play better than last night they were fantastic. Well worth the three hour drive there, the eight hour stand in the queue and the five and a half hour drive back. It was the first time for me in the Pit and I was so close to the front. The crowd was amazing the atmosphere fantastic, which I thought was a bit weak at Wolverhampton. Jon and the guys really looked as if they were impressed with the crowd too and looked as if they enjoyed themselves more than at Wolverhampton. I'm pleased they changed the set list slightly for the Manchester gig when you go to more than one gig and it's exactly the same it's too predicatable. I had my daughter with me and it was her first Bon Jovi gig and it certainly won't be her last. I have to say a thank you to the security guys at Old Trafford too, they were great, they spotted all the people trying to queue jump and sorted it out and made sure we got through the gates and got our gold wristbands as quickly as possible - one scared the hell out me though as he dropped my ticket and it disappeared under feet but he got if back for me with a very sheepish grin :) Only down side for me with the whole gig was the nightmare journey back along the M6 but it was all still worth. First gig at Old Trafford I'd been too but it won't be the last everyone was fantastic so thanks Bon Jovi and thanks Old Trafford, see you all next time.
