26 June 2003 - Manchester, UK Concert Review 27 June 2003
Another Most Triumphant Night!

A review by Shaun Varnham / darkace3000@hotmail.com

What a show! I thought that one was brilliant but the Manchester concert last night just seemed to upshow that concert. Largely it was thanks to the crowd being much more into it - almost everyone seemed to know all the lyrics to nearly all the songs they performed. This truely was a concert full of jovi fanatics. Once again I was in the Gold Standing area a little right of center stage, and although this time I didnt get to go on stage, I still preferred this concert. It goes to show what a great difference a good crowd makes, so - highlights of the night?

1.) Again in these arms was brilliant - and even more so this time - made extra special for me by the fact that I was the first one to start off the clapping as the song began, even though somebody would have started it off at some point anyway, it was nice that I was able to start it off during my favourite song.
2.) During the encore, the first song they performed was "Lola" which was the first time they had ever performed that song to the public, a cover of the great song by the Kinks. It was a great song and though the crowd never seemed to know the words to the verses, they certainly flew alogn with the chorus!! A bit of a nice treat this one.
3.) Raise Your Hands - once again was absolutely fantastic, a real crowd raiser.
4.) The Distance, they played it again which was great as its my favourite song off the Bounce album, and they performed it with even more punch this time, added to the fact that the crowd were more responsive to this song than they were at wolverhampton.
5.) They promised the crowd that they'd definately be back touring in the UK again - a great moment - I guess we could all see it coming, but nice all the same.

Roll On Bon Jovi's next tour - and lets hope that next time it'll be EVEN BETTER!!!
