15 July 2003 - Minneapolis, MN, USA Concert Review 18 July 2003
I've still got goosebumps!!!!

A review by princess kari / princesskari02@hotmail.com

My evening was beginning to look like a huge disappointment. Not only had I missed the Goo Goo Dolls, but I had convinced myself that I had the worst seats in the house, and why were there stools on stage for a rock concert? My anxiety was growing as I watched the stage being prepared, I couldn't help but think that Bon Jovi may let me down. Boy was I wrong!! The lights dimmed and the crowd was on their feet. A VH1 contest winners voice filled the arena informing us that we were going to be a part of history. Bon Jovi for the first time in North America was going to preform an acoustic show. David Bryan was first out and began to play his keyboard, the beginning to Have a Little Faith (John Hiatt) the rest of the band joined him on stage. Jon, Ritchie and Hugh took their seats and it began. The doubt I had about an acoustic show was quickly screamed away. You could see how passionate Jon was. Old school songs sounded new Love for Sale was brillant!!! I was on my feet the entire acoustic set, Then right after singing Misunderstood, (BRILLANT) Jon declared that it was about time to plug in these guitars. We were ready!! After playing Lay Your Hands On Me and You Give Love a Bad Name, we were treated to Runaway. The arena was rocking. My arms were in the air the entire night and my throat is still raw from screaming. After Runaway the energy in the arena was unreal. Nearing the end of the show Jon playfully pulled his shirt over his head, (every lady in the house remembers this part) it seemed as if he was entertaining Tico. To wrap up the show the band preformed Shout Jon introduced each member of the band, with a rhyme. They then promised they would be back real soon. The lights went up and it was over. I definity was not dissapointed. This was the best I've seen Bon Jovi! Wednesday my friend and I began our 8 hour journey home in the hot car, funny how we still had goosebumps.
