26 July 2003 - Philadelphia, PA, USA Concert Review 29 July 2003
worth the 1000 mile trip! Unbelievable

A review by ginny

I drove over 7 hours each way to get to this concert. They did play a lot of Slippery when wet-and older stuff. I was surprised they didn't sing misunderstood! I got the feeling that they were singing what they enjoyed most-and what they thought the fans would enjoy most-the older stuff. They did not look old-they had more energy than any group I've ever seen -at least Jon did. I could have done without the SHOUT song-kind of like at a wedding-but it was nice how he thanks everyone including those that set up and tear down every night for them. They sounded great and never messed up-unlike the Goo Goo dolls-I've seen them in Manhatten and they sounded so much better in a smaller indoor place-they seemed like they were on drugs or never practiced! They messed up a couple times! Bon jovi-was perfect-right on the money! We were in row 13 and saw all the ladies up on stage slap his butt when he went by. He was a sport! He kissed and shook hands and stuff with those he could reach up front.
Great performance well worth the money and the trip! Sheryl Crow-was good-didn't move around the stage as much as Jon did-so she was a little boring. Jon had the energy!
