27 January 2006 - St. Paul, MN, USA Concert Review 31 January 2006
Great Show. (Poor choice of opener?)

A review by Julie / juleshandy@hotmail.com

I have seen around 40 Jovi shows dating back to the early days when they were the openers for bands such as Ratt and Kiss. I have seen many great shows, along with a few iffy ones! This one seriously tops them all. Jon was in a zone, like he was on a mission! They played 7 tunes from Have A Nice Day! 7! And the great thing is, the crowd seemed to love them. Most of the time when a band that has been around for a while plays the new material, it is bathroom break time. But not this time. The only downfall was the opening act. They were chosen by the morning show at KFAN radio (www.kfan.com). I followed the contest and feel as thought the judges made a very poor choice. Not to take anything away from 3 In A Tree, but the other band, Charlz Newman, who lost by a .5 of point to 3 In a Tree, was by far more qualified and more like the music that Jovi fans would love. Check them out for yourself and decide. www.charlznewman.com Once again though, def. my best Jovi show yet! Peace.
