These Days
No Rain, No Clouds, and Plenty of Sunshine - yes this was really Bon Jovi in Glasgow.
The Set List for this concert was stronger than the previous 3 visits from BJ to Glasgow, however like everyone of the fans at Hampden there was always going to be individual favourites missing. But honestly no songs from 'These Days' what a sadness, and again to much from 'Keep the Faith' in my opinion is only worthy of one song 'Dry County', which was missing shame on you Jon this song is an epic and should always take a place firmly on your set list for all concerts - please note Jonny-Boy.
Back to what went on - Richie's version of IBTFY was a nice touch - but I would have liked to have seen Jon stay on the stage and reverse the vocals as on the albulm, as it would have shown his respect to share the stage with his axeman on lead vocals. The usuals sounded good - and the Slippery/New Jersey walk down memory lane was cool.
I felt they should have swapped the order of Wanted and SIBSN, Wanted blew me away and was so fitting of ending this gig - Jon's response after the crowd sang the 1st verse and choruse, was of awe - he really looked like he appreciated the crowds actions and that he rarely gets this response.
All in all it was a great night - and I really cannot wait for a Best off tour.
A quick note in respect of Nickelback - these guys had no chance with a poor sound system - I wish the support acts were given the same sound as the main act - but that is a bit much to ask.
