4 June 2006 - Manchester, UK Concert Review 5 June 2006
Dry County!

A review by Rob (Robbie Sambora) Wood

Bon Jovi gig number 3 and counting. It 100% kicked ass.

I read the reviews and check the setlists so I knew what was to be expected however they inserted a few suprises into the show. As Last Man Standing was ending I turned to my friend and said "the crowd's gonna go mad" expecting Bad Name but no; Last Man Standing finished! Rocking all Over the World, they played Rocking all Over the World which was great, however no Richie singing a verse. Dave did get a fantastic solo tho. Back on track with Bad Name, Cap Crash, Sleep, Story of my Life and (another suprise) Die for You (not in order by the way).

Richie's guitars suprised me, and Jon's for that matter. For Have a Nice Day Richie didn't use his twin necked Telecaster, for Wanted he used a single necked 12 string and Jon didn't uses his black Telecaster for Sleep, he used a golden Les Paul I think.

Jon had a couple of guitar solos (Die for You & Runaway if I remeber right) & Dave had a solo in Rocking all Over the World. Even Bobby took the soloing dutie for Have a Nice Day and In These Arms.

But the highlight of the show DRY COUNTY! The crowd went wild. I still cant believe I've heard it live. Some guy near me turned to his mate and said "I cant believe I'm hearing this". Just goes to show that the band do something right these days for all you people who wanna drag them down.

Anyway, I'm rambeling a little. To rap it up, it was a great show, I have Blisters on my feat, a ringing in my head and a croaky voice to prove it.

Keep the Faith
Rob
