10 June 2006 - Milton Keynes, UK Concert Review 12 June 2006
Hmmm...

A review by Bex / no1cobblersfan@hotmail.com

This was the 4th time I had seen both Bon Jovi and Nickelback, and I have to admit I had my doubts as to whether Bon Jovi could do any better than I had seen before...and in some ways I think I was right to have these doubts.

Jon did seem very upset that he was in MK and not Wembley, which I guess is understandable but there was no need to make quite so much fuss about it.

I was most upset about half the fans who were there tho. Where have all the hard core rock fans gone??? There was hardly any leather, denim or long hair!! And I was also quite disappointed by the lack of Bon Jovi merchandise being worn! It was a VERY hot day, but I still don't see this as an excuse.

I don't like complaining but they just weren't giving off the same vibe as usual. Normally they stir up somuch emotion in me I want to cry, but this time, i felt very little.

On the PLUS side, Richie's voice sounded fab singing I'll be there for you, and Bells of Freedom was def the best song off the new album.

But the highlight of the night for me was Nickelback! They were fantastic and never fail to get the crowd going. I just can't wait for them to come back to the UK as headliners!
