10 June 2006 - Milton Keynes, UK Concert Review 13 June 2006
The Boys are Back in Town

A review by Tommy

So another Jovi gig at the horrific Milton Keynes Bowl. That venue is really poor however i must say all 3 bands on the bill played one hell of a show. Granted it was not as good at the show i had seen in Dublin 3 weeks earlier but it was still worth the trip.

After 3 hours of waiting in the blistering heat the first band on 'Spin' opened the show and they really werent that bad.

Then came Nikelback who were good live and i loved the cannon idea but i'm really not a big fan of thier music it is all samey and after an hour set of it i did feel quite bored to be honest.

However, this was quickly recovered by the Jovi. They came on to 'Last Man Standing', which is a great song but lacks a bit of energy as an opener. The band kicked right into 'Rockin' All over the world' which i found quite entertaining. However, highlight of the show was Bon Jovi playing 'Living in Sin'. Have never seen that song before so was delighted when they started to play that. Oh and of course seeing Jon Bon Jovi in an England shirt!

Overall a very good gig, was great to see richie doing his thing as well as he did and Jons voice sounded great.

as a rating 7.5/10
