11 June 2006 - Milton Keynes, UK Concert Review 13 June 2006
Absoloutely amazing!!!

A review by Nat / curvyblonde2005@yahoo.co.uk

Well, what can I say? This was a show and a half! I must admit I was disapointed that it wasn't the opening show for wembley staduim. but Jon and his boys more than made up for it! The Bowl is a wicked venue for a gig, and we were lucky enough to get into the inner circle. I thought that the golden circle was too big though and wouldn't have been happy if I was in the outer circle mind, as I reckon the inner circle was the right size for golden circle. Anyway, back to the show. The first support act was Spin, they were good and the singer had a fab voice, but the sound system didn't do them justice as it was hard to hear the words...saiying that they were enthusiastic and it was a great opening...wish you all the luck for the future boys! Next came Nickleback, who were excellent! Chad can really belt them out and hold a note and I was chuffed that they played Photograph as this is a personal favourite! Then came the one and only Bon Jovi!! Like others, I was expecting them to kick off with Last man Standing so was suprised it was Rockin In The Free World, which went into You Give Love a Bad Name, FAB!! The set list was incredible and I was so so pleased they played songs from These Days, including These Days as encore, but the highlight for me was Always..my favourite ever Bon Jovi track....but I agree that the original vesrion is better than the acoustic. Other tracks which went down a storm included HAND, In These Arms and Runaway. And obviously Living On A Prayer, what a buzz hearing thousands of people singing to that! I was disapointed they didn't play Dry County, as had read other reveiws of UK tour that they had and I would've loved to hear that again. Having seen them before at the Bowl and at Wembley i was a liitle disapointed that Richie's gutair solos wern't as long as previous, but he made up for this with a beautiful rendition of I'll Be There For You. Also where were the fireworks for the end? Otherwise and amazing show which will give me a buzz and tingles for years to come and I am so happy to have been there. Oh and Jon is still looking as hot as ever...no-one compares!!
Love and peace to all fellow Bon Jovi fans
Nat :)
