13 July 2006 - Montreal, Quebec, Canada Concert Review |

Thank you for loving us ... Montreal
Jon and the boys were back in town for the 3rd show in the last 8 months. The last time they were here was (December 14 & 15) those 2 shows were amazing (they had sang 27 songs…Wow), Jon had promise to come back for a summer outdoor concert, Jon kept his promise and they came back.
WOW, what a great show they gave once again.
The weather was great, the place was big and the stage was humongous and the clarity of the giant led screen was simply amazing.
Two groups preceded Bon Jovi - Ashmore (Good show) and the Canadian group Nickleback (Very good stage presentation – played 55 minutes).
As for Bon Jovi, the first note of Keep On Rockin’ In a Free World (from Neil Young) came at 8:15 as usual the crowd went nuts. Jon sang some old and new songs, regardless what Jon sings, Montreal fans just LOVE’S him dearly, having such a large crowd in an open space it’s quite amazing to see, the sea of hand moving from left to right, people jumping at the same time, people singing (some people around me didn’t know all the words, but that didn’t matter, it was simply great), this is what they have to offer a great party. At 10:30 the show came to a close and they sang the Bon Jovi ANTHEM (Wanted Dead or Alive), it was simply MAGNIFIQUE.
Jon and the boys, I hope you will last as long as the Rolling Stones.
Call us fans or crazy, my wife and I actually went see them in Las Vegas on March 11th (the last arena stop before the outdoor shows), that was the longest show and best show I had ever seen from Bon Jovi (29 songs for nearly 3 hours).
