3 June 2008 - Frankfurt, Germany Concert Review 7 June 2008
Frankfurt, 12 years without Bon Jovi

A review by Christian / airtouch@web.de

This concert was my 9th Bon Jovi concert since 1996 as the band came to Waldstation during the These Days tour. I had also been to the first concert in Europe of the Lost Highway Tour in Gelsenkirchen and there I was a bit dissapointed about the sound and the Performance of Bon Jovi so I was looking forward to Frankfurt to get a better show, because I heard about the fantastic concerts in Munich and Hamburg. And I think this concert toped both.

We entered the stadium at 6:45 during the first song of Gianna Nannini. So, she gave a better performance then in Gelsenkirchen and the crowd was also getting with her. She played aprox. 45 minutes and gave one encore.

On exactly eight oŽclock Bon Jovi entered the stage and started with Lost Highway. I think, that this song is not the perfect introducing song of a rock concert and people were still sitting on their chairs... but after this song Jon only screemd ..two, three, four! Born to be my baby started an nearly everybody was screeming and singing so the crowed was now with the band.
With every song the band was getting better and you could see that they've had lots of fun playing for their fans. The concert wasnŽt sold out. I thought there were 40 000 people inside.
My highlights: Bed of Roses, Keep the faith with a switch to a stones song, On any other day, livinŽon a prayer...i havenŽt seen so much emotions on any Bon Jovi concert before and iŽll be there for you with Richie on lead. But would like to see Jon, singinŽ this song again.

I was sitting near the stage, so i had a good sound but Jon said: "The sound of this building sounds like shit, sorry about that". But this is the large problem of modern football stadiums.

One of my best Bon Jovi concerts and I hope they come back to "New Germany" as soon as posible. You are welcome to wherever you are and weŽll help you to get the greatest rock nŽroll band on earth.
