3 June 2008 - Frankfurt, Germany Concert Review 7 June 2008
Awesome!!!

A review by Chris / brazzo20@gmx.li

I had a hard stand going to this concert. My first Bon Jovi concert was Düsseldorf 2006, a fantastic show where Dry County has been played live for the first time in 10 years.
My second was Munich 2008, also a great show in the greatest stadium in the world, again with a fantastic atmosphere and Always and Hey God on the setlist.
So with these two shows I've been really spoilt so for Frankfurt my expectations weren't too high.
The show started as usual with Lost Highway, Born To Be My Baby and Bad Name. With the fourth song I already had a live premiere with Summertime and a great intro with We Will Rock You. Blood Money was the first big surprise of the evening. I'd never thought I would ever hear this song live...and the fiddle just fits great to this song. Two songs later another surprise: Bed Of Roses in its original version...awesome performance, during the chorus one could hardly hear Jon sing because the fans were so loud. We Got It Going On, It's My Life and Keep The Faith were again big fun and Richie's I'll Be There For You is always a highlight of the show (nonetheless I'd wished to hear These Days, but...). After Richie had finished singing, a loud "Hey" banged through the stadium. My fourth live premiere on this evening...Lay Your Hands On Me just rocked!!! The end of the set was business as usual and great as always. Bad Medicine rocked the house big and the band really had fun!
The encores started with Any Other Day, in my opinion the best song of Lost Highway. At the end of the song Jon introduced the band and everybody played a solo. Then Jon sung an a capella rendition of If Loving You Is Wrong (I Don't Wanna Be Right) and everybody who has seen or at least listened to These Days shows knew what would follow: DAMNED!!! I couldn't believe it!!! In Düsseldorf I got Dry County, in Munich I got Hey God and now Damned in Frankfurt, I could have been happy for twins!!! It was such a powerful performance, the crowd almost went nuts. I don't know whether Richie played the guitar or the guitar played Richie *ggg*, it was just fantastic! After that Jon jingled a little bit on his guitar and asked us what we wanna hear. He started the intro of These Days and looked into the audience. Everybody was screaming, he looked over to Richie and then they started playing These Days. So finally I was able to hear this song live...I was happy for quadruplets ;). The last song played was Wanted, great as always and the audience had to sing the first verse - great!
The show was just great. Although it was my third show and the second from this tour I heard 7 songs live for my first time ever (and only two of them were from Lost Highway!). The band had so much fun being on stage and playing for us and the fans had so much fun watching those guys. This night Bon Jovi were really at their best!!! And even with the two fantastic shows I have seen prior I have to say: THIS WAS THE BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!
