Great Show - Poor Sound
This is the 8th time I have seen the guys and I must admit that they set a blistering pace when they opened with Living on a prayer.
They perfomed like a well oiled machine as they played hit after hit, with a great selection of album tracks thrown in for good measure.
My personal faves were - Blood on blood, I'd die for you, Dry county and In these arms, although the new tracks on the Lost Highways album were also well recieved.
The band looked as though they were really up for it, and they enjoy playing in Manchester to a full stadium.
The fact that they came back on for 2 encores was a credit to the band and reflected the fun the guys looked like they were having.
However, I must comment on the really poor sound quality from the stage...
The sound was just not clear or load enough for a rock band at an open air event. It was criminal that you could barely make out the vocals from Jon or the awesome guitar riffs that Richie was banging out on tracks like Dry county and Born to be my baby.
All in all, a great night was had by both the band and fans alike, and I hope they come back to Manchester soon to continue the party!
Its just a shame that the sound quality didn't match the performance.
