Singing in the rain!
Another brilliant show from the guys!
Show kicked off with local band Logan who were pretty good, and played the right kind of music to set the stage unlike The Feeling, who were OK but probably not lively enough to get the crowd going.
In fairness the weather probably didn't help. After more than 3 hours of standing in the rain everyone was pretty much ready for the main event!
Bon Jovi came on about 8:30 and started off with Rockin' All Over The World. Now, I consider myself a big Bon Jovi fan but I wasn't particularly impressed with playing another band's song on your entrance, especially when you have so many great songs yourself! Was disappointed to see Manchester gig opened with Livin On A Prayer, which would have been far more appropriate and really would have got Hampden jumping!
But despite this slight disappointment I thought the show was brilliant! My own personal highlight was Dry County - first time I've heard it live after four Bon Jovi shows and it was outstanding! Jon's performance of Leonard Cohen’s Alleluia was also a highlight. Few classic's like Raise Your Hands and Lay Your Hands on Me were sadly missed but overall a top night was had!
