24 June 2008 - Coventry, United Kingdom Concert Review 25 June 2008
Not as good as Manchester but still a brilliant show

A review by Carl / one_wild_carl@hotmail.co.uk

This was the second bon jovi show I went to in two days after I was persuaded to go by one of my friends. I was quite suprised how easy it was to get there and park up without any real sort of traffic problems. So after getting there and meeting up with my friend, we took our place in the fan club line, the organisation though was not good, no one seem to have a clue and plus when we were being lined up they ran out of room to put us.

Eventually we got in and I was very lucky to get right up the front and have a very good view of where the band were going to be. After what seemed an eternity, the first local band came on and to be fair they didn't do bad at all, maybe their only trouble was they were trying to hard to impress the crowd but they did a good job none the less.

Then soon after the feeling came on, I was not impressed with them after Manchester, to be fair though they did better here in Coventry but really they are just not my sort of band.

Finally the boys from New Jersey hit the stage this time opening with Lost Highway instead of Livin' On A Prayer like in Manchester. Jon actually forgot a line in Runaway but he laughed it off, even the best do it sometimes.

The band then did a song they had really done on tour so far performing make a memory which went down very well with the crowd. We had the usual crowd pleasers, it's my life, have a nice day, just older and who says you can't go home and the best part of that song was when Jon brought up a little 8 year old boy to sing with him the it's alright part. Before they left stage they did a very good version of Livin' On A Prayer, before coming back for just one encore this time, which was a very good encore with Always, These days before finally performing Wanted in which the heavens opened during it, then again it cooled us down.

Overall again it was a good show although it wasn't as good or as long as Manchester was but still can't complain they were still very good and looked like they were in a great mood, certainly me and my friend enjoyed it. Got some very good pictures as well of the band performing, bring on Twickenham on Saturday night.
