Joy of Life
I became a Bon Jovi fan at the age of 52 last December. Yes, I understand that the band has been around since 1983, but I just discovered them. I'm a little late to the party, but partying I am. As a new fan, I was really looking forward to seeing them in concert for the first time last night, and it was all that I hoped and more. One might expect that after nearly 20 years in a band, the guys might become a little jaded or bored. But by the power of their joyful hearts, they made me feel as though they couldn't think of anything more fun than performing for all of us. Or should I say "with" all of us, as they turned over vocals to us on many of their hit tunes. It was the most fun I've ever had with 18,000 people. The warmth of their grins and immense talent shared was fabulous. Thanks, Bon Jovi, for making me feel truly "not old, just older."
