6 June 2001 - Amsterdam, The Netherlands Concert Review 7 June 2001
good show, not too original though!

A review by Mr N.

First of all. The setlist listed on June 6th is wrong. They played Bed of Roses MUCH earlier in the show...

Anyway, I'm not a real Bon Jovi fan, but I'm a regular concert visitor, and I have seen the boys once before. I think they have put on a good performance and got the crowd going all right, but I think their 1995 show was better!

The stage was cool, but a little small when you play stadiums for 50.000/60.000 people. I will explain what happens:
During the support acts, the stage is wrapped in black plastic. Once the support acts are over, they get the plastic off (and an inflatable antenna rices on top of the Empire State Building). It really does look like the top!
The elevator sequense you already know I guess.

I'm not going to say that Bon Jovi is the best band in the world, cause they are simply not! You must be very naief to say so. They have been doing the same versions of song and same 'speeches' for many (+5) years now. (like Bad Medicene/Shout). Think of something new!
The performance was great though...they know how to play live! but again. I'de rate the show 7-. the songs were played axactly the same as in 1995...too bad.
