8 June 2001 - Glasgow, Scotland, UK Concert Review 11 June 2001
a night i did't want to end

A review by Marie / mariemcdermott@lineone.net

Friday 8th June was the best night of my life. I travelled 3 hours on a horrible bus journey from Dundee just to see Bon jovi and I would do it all again just to see them.

They came on at 8.30 and started with one wild night and it was one very wild night.

It did not take much to get the crowd danceing and jumping around. Bon jovi done a brilliant set list of old and new songs, but sometimes you could not here them for all the people singing.

When bed of roses came on they went silent and i had tears in my eyes. This was my very first BON JOVI concert but i am only 14 and it will not be my last.

It just shows that bon jovi have got staying power. For all the people who were not at the concert at Glasgow on the amazing night you have just missed out on the best night of your life. I would strongly suggest that next time bon jovi is near you that you go along and witness their amazing talent.

The stage was the empire state building with really great lights and the fire works would have blown you away.

Jon was cracking jokes to the audience, he said it's supposed to be summer up here and i'm freezing my ass off, does someone want to keep me warm? If i could of got up there fast enough i would of kept him warm all night long.

Jon also said "have you lot not got homes to go to? stuff it i am staying here and he did not want to leave the scottish pepole. I did not want him to leave too.

The only thing that upset me about the night was, when jon started to sing bed of roses, there was a blond bimbo who was invited on stage with the band and she had a slow dance with jon.

Before they went on stage i saw him and the rest of the gang get into the car and i was right at the front. Even though i never got a slow dance with jon, at least i could say that i was very close and saw him before most of the crowd.

Thanks to all the people who let me at the front to see Jon.

I hope that Bon Jovi come back to scotland very soon.

all my love
Marie xxx
