16 June 2001 - Milton Keynes, England, UK Concert Review 21 June 2001
Pleasure Pain Theory

A review by Benji Baby / bonjovi_aregods@yahoo.co.uk

WHAT A CONCERT!!!!! I am sorry that it took me sooooo long to write this but I have only just recovered.

I have only been to one other Bon Jovi concert in my life (i'm 17), but i can comfortably say that I have never had a better experience in my life (ps. i'm still a virgin).

At about 2:30 I walked into the bowl, having never been there before. Compared to good old Wembly Stadium it looked really bad. I ran down to the front and stood there. I stood for three and a half hours before 'Delerious' came on. They turned out to be really good, although we only got to hear 10 minutes of their stuff. Matchbox Twenty @ 6:30, by now my legs were really starting to hurt. I managed to last their hour, and to a certain extent, I even enjoyed it.

7:45 and I'm really starting to get annoyed. But all is made better when the inflatable roof of the Empire State building is opened, and I'm begining to get really tense. The Crush version of One Wild Night begins (the 'good' version in my opinion). The big screens showed the boys in a lift, the lift doors opened and the whole place exploded. All the classics were played (eventually in the case of Prayer), but it would have been nice if they could have played for six hours instead of just three. Tequila really got everyone moving and Jon's stunning vocals on Shout really impressed everyone. I don't really remember much but haven't had as much fun since 20th of August 2000 at Wembly.

Then I went home with a huge smile on my face.

Come back to England soon!!!!!!!!
