22 June 2001 - Stuttgart, Germany Concert Review 23 June 2001
Set List

A review by someone_somewhere / kermitf@go.com

Hey,
it was a pretty good show tonight. The sound was crap though and it was not loud enough. Not loud enough means that the chick next to me gave me a headache singing in the wrong key for 2 and a half hours. What I liked a lot about this show was that there were none of those chick songs like Always, Bed of Roses, This ain't a love song, Thank you for loving me. Doesn't mean these songs are bad but I just don't need to hear it live. So the set list was very good in my opinion. From this point of view maybe the best Bon Jovi concert I've ever been to. The supporting acts were mediocre.

Ok, here is the set list. It's not the right order though, I can't remember it. I just went through my CDs and checked which one they played:

Someday I'll be saturday night
Keep the faith
I'll sleep when I'm dead
Lay your hands on me
Bad medicine
Shout
Born to be my baby
Wild is the wind
I'll be there for you
You give love a bad name
Livin' on a prayer
Wanted dead or alive
Raise your hands
Wild in the streets
It's my life
Say it isn't so
Just older
Mystery Train
Captain Crash & the Beauty Queen from Mars
I got the girl
One wild night
Blaze of Glory
In these Arms

Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
The only thing that I've missed was that new amazing Runaway version that I love so much. And there were not enough cover songs. For me the cover songs are the most interesting part cause I've heard their own songs so many times. And Richie should do some of his songs more often. I'd definitely trade in Blaze of Glory on Hard Times come easy or Who I am. Anyway, I'm not complaining. I'm still thinking it was a very good concert. Except the sound...
Hey anyone of you guys caught one of Richie's guitar picks? 10 fuckin years of Bon Jovi concerts and I never grabbed one. So if you did and wanna get rid of it, drop me a line. Yeah I know. I don't think that's gonna happen.

Cheers
