24 June 2001 - Hamburg, Germany Concert Review 26 June 2001
Got a damn crush again

A review by bluesbabe / guitarqueen@gmx.de

2 days after the show - and I seem to be able to get some clear thoughts now... Let me start:

Looking at the band and me it was my best concert ever (from 6 fantastic ones I've seen), but looking at the crowd... indeed it was the worst one! I agree with the others that the crowd was too sleepy and I believe that Stereophonics killed it. After seeing Dave and Jon jammin' with Southside Jonny it was impossible to listen to them, I was just dying to see Bon Jovi!

And man, they rocked it off!!!!!!! I felt like I was grabbed by my spine and rocked all over! "Raise your hands" - wohow, as a DIE-HARD-RICHIE-FAN that riff makes me wanna... go crazy! The band really gave it all and Richie was pushing into every solo like it was his last! What energy!!!!!! What a great intro on "wild is the wind" he played... They just wanted to rock the place and thats what they did. I was jumping and singing and screaming like never before and when I looked around me I saw... well, let me say kinda ... nothing! Everyone was standing around, watching, perhaps clapping hands and thats quite all! Well people, what I can say is that a concert is as good as you also give in to it!

Anyway, I had the Bon Jovi time of my life and now I (again like after any concert) fell like a junkie who just got his shot which will hopefully get me high till the boys are back in town! I guess the band is at its best at the moment and whatever will come... I'll be there!

Last but not least I'd like to give a big kiss to my dear ones Heike - so great to know you, hdgdl! And to Vess - we have to go together to a concert one day, love ya!

Feel free to write me for communication!
