27 June 2001 - Padova, Italy Concert Review 29 June 2001
I had been waiting for a whole year

A review by Larry / larry1980@iol.it

I had been waiting for a whole year to see BJ, after they canceled the tour-date in Modena last summer, and I actually saw them. But I only heard Richie, Tico, David and Hugh. I though that Jon left his voice in the lift of Empire State Building, because on the stage he moved his lips but no sound went out. Anyway I'm very happy because Bon Jovi are a great band; Richie stood the whole show rather alone, and when he played "Stranger in this town" I though I spent my money in the right way, being there.
Bon Jovi's show lasted half and an hour only, and I think it's a very short time, but it was great to see Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, even if it was sad to see how many people didn't know them! And I still wonder why, while Southside was singing "I've been working too hard", Jon didn't go out on the stage. We all though he did, because Jon sings this song in Southside's album "Better Days". Probably Jon knew he wasn't able to say a word.
Well, thank God we still have Richie!
