"Always" live - keep it or drop it?

Let's face it: we all know Jon's voice isn't what it used to be - not even close. Actually, it's been constantly shot for almost four years now, but...

The guys still keep on playing "Always" live.

And Jon murders it.

Every.

Single.

Time.

The difference is so big it's shocking.

How anyone with good ears can enjoy the first three renditions is beyond me. Why - oh, why - don't the guys drop the key? Poor Jon's gonna faint on stage someday while singing the song, that's guaranteed.

However, even the 2011 version it hurts whilst listening to it. He's shouting half the words whilst using his nasal voice for the others. That's not good technique at all. I'd prefer not to listen to Always live again than any of the versions above.

But I still say kudos to him for keep on trying. Whether he succeeds or not it's a different matter.....at least he tries.

Keep it but play it last.

It never sounds as bad when you're there and that's the main thing, no matter how dreadful it sounds on a video after the event. It's one of there biggest songs and I'd rather he try that and fail rather than cruise through a snoozefest like highway or working man.

But vocally it takes it our of him, so play it last as it ruined the songs after it the other day. It's a huge hit so suited enough to close the show.

My favorite song. I'd rather have it than not played at all.

Hard to decide. I admire him for trying since the fans love the song and think it should be done very last. I dislike seeing the videos on YouTube of how much he struggles. It breaks my heart and it has to devastate him.

I personally understand why he would leave it out. I don't want to see him suffer or hurt his voice so he can never sing again.

One can never say JBJ doesn't give 110%, that's for sure! Maybe his biggest downfall through the years concerning his voice - his irreplaceable instrument??

Keep it...but i'd rather have a tuned down acoustic version! I think that the crowd would be a lot into that and it would be as epic as the original one

Keep it. Any 'Always' is better than no 'Always'. Especially in person live.

Same! It's not just my favorite Bon Jovi song but my favorite song ever. If he wants to give it a go then I say keep it.

Exactly right. There are many people who absolutely love that song and they won't care at all if he can't sing it as well as he could in the 90s.

it´s their biggest ballad and even when Jon´s not on his Level i enjoy a live Performance.
